A large-scale newspaper format, bold typography, and full-bleed imagery set the tone for Reflex Paper: The Positive Issue, the debut editorial publication for Reflex Amsterdam. I designed this journal in close collaboration with Amsterdam-based studio ANDSTAAT, featuring in-depth conversations with artists including Michael Craig-Martin, Todd Hido, Harland Miller, Helen Beard, and Spencer Tunick.

The editorial design balances depth with a strong graphic sensibility, using generous white space to let both the art and the writing breathe. With over 38 years of history working with internationally renowned artists, Reflex wanted a publication that felt as considered as the work it documents.

Printed by Koopmans drukkerij, the paper leans into the tangible quality of print as a deliberate counterpoint to the fast-moving digital art world. Something you can hold, return to, and keep.
